Coinciding with the winter solstice, the Ursid meteor shower — the final meteor event of 2025 — is expected to peak overnight between December 21 and 22. Skywatchers in the Northern Hemisphere can look forward to up to 10 meteors per hour, with the shower’s radiant near the Little Dipper constellation. Space
Viewing conditions are especially favorable this year thanks to minimal moonlight, making this an excellent opportunity for both amateur and seasoned observers.
